Carlos Ly
About me
Hi! My name is Carlos, I am a Master of Social Work student, I have just completed my Social Work placement here at Lemon Drops and absolutely loved it. I am originally from Bendigo, I lived there for 22 years and just moved to Geelong at the end of 2024. I bring a friendly, fun and inviting personality and I have a keen interest in building self-confidence and a positive self-image in children and young people.
My approach
I bring a child-centred approach, with the three principles of empathy, congruence and unconditional positive regard as a basis for my practice. I build genuine bonds with people and believe that this is the key for all therapeutic relationships. I create a safe space, so individuals feel comfortable being themselves and feel supported.
Who I Work With
I work with people aged 3+
Hobbies/Interests
I love sports, especially basketball, football, MMA and cricket. If it is hot enough you will see me down at the beach having a swim. I love to cook; I love to eat even more and to balance it out I exercise and try to keep fit.
