Di Bones
About Me
Hi, I’m Di. I’m deeply passionate about supporting our younger generation in building self-confidence and self-esteem to help them navigate life’s challenges. This passion truly came to life after having my own children, which led me to begin working with children over 15 years ago. Since then, I’ve immersed myself in the world of nature play, the kindergarten sector, and spent countless hours teaching children’s yoga. Stepping into the play therapy space felt like a natural progression—bringing together my experience, knowledge, and love for nurturing the wellbeing of children.
My Approach
I’m committed to supporting families on their journey to reconnect, heal, and grow. I walk alongside them as they thrive and step into their fullest potential—always honoring that they are the true experts of their own lives. By taking a humanistic approach and providing a safe, non-judgmental space, both the child and their primary caregiver are supported in strengthening and synchronising their bond. This meaningful connection becomes the foundation for a secure, trusting relationship where genuine healing can take place. When children are nurtured in a safe and supportive environment, play becomes a powerful tool for expressing emotions, processing trauma, and developing healthy coping strategies.
Who I Work With
I work with children aged 13 and under. I offer sibling sessions, caregiver support sessions, and outreach sessions.
Hobbies/Interests
Outside of Lemon Drops, I like to keep things active and fun, whether I’m out in nature in the bush, at the beach, or exploring the mountains. Among my proudest personal achievements (besides raising my two beautiful sons) are completing an ultra marathon that included summiting Mount Kosciuszko, and an unforgettable family trek to Annapurna Base Camp in Nepal.
