Ready, Set, Prep!

Help create emotionally ready students, stronger family collaboration, and a healthier classroom environment.

Ready, Set, Prep! is a flexible, in person, education program for caregivers to support their child’s transition to prep that can be tailored and easily integrated into your existing prep transition program.

Ready, Set, Prep! prepares caregivers to support their child in the transition into school. It informs caregivers about the brain, emotions and the nervous system, and addresses common challenges like separation anxiety, emotional regulation, social skills, and routine-following. They will also be offered practical tools and strategies to support their child and family in preparing for the school transition.

Why Will This Help My School?

Effective transition programs ease the load on teachers, with research showing that well-supported transitions enhance students’ social-emotional development, behaviour, and academic performance. Early investment in these programs leads to lasting benefits for students, educators, and families alike.

Integrating this initiative into your Prep transition program brings valuable advantages for teachers, such as:

  • Students arriving more confident, emotionally regulated, and ready to learn

  • Strengthened connections between families and the school

  • Less time spent managing challenges, allowing greater focus on teaching

  • Earlier recognition and support for individual student needs

  • A more consistent and positive classroom atmosphere

  • Increased teacher wellbeing, satisfaction, and retention
