Nerissa Hede
My name is Nerissa. I love connecting with families and have provided support as a Speech Pathologist, Calmbirth Practitioner and Early Support Facilitator over the last 20 years.
I have worked mostly in the fields of disability and hearing loss.
I am also the mother of 2 boys and live within a neurodiverse family. I understand the complexities of diagnosis, the impact of disability on sibling relationships and family dynamics as well as the challenges in accessing support and navigating the education system.
I have recently trained as an Interplay Therapist after experiencing this therapeutic approach with one of my own children. It’s incredible to see how children show us their innermost feelings through play. I feel very passionate about supporting the relationship between a parent and a child and creating a safe space for both to express what they need to connect, heal and thrive.
